Paolo Trere is an embedded system engineer at Microchip Technology with nearly 20 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry.

Prior to joining Microchip in 2012, Paolo started his career in Italy as an electronic designer, and soon moved to several field application engineer roles at companies such as Avnet, Future Electronics, AMD and NXP.

His expertise is mainly focused on wireless technologies. Since 2012, he has supported all products related to Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, sub-GHz radios and Lora® technology. His extensive experience in the cloud/server and IoT areas also gives him a strong background on security and authentication.
Since 2017, he’s served as the reference for wireless applications support in the San Jose area.
