AI2: CMF Analog-Digital ASIC with Embedded AI Processing
This session covers how the disciplines join together to be able to bring to market a mix ASIC capable of detect and discriminate activity (person, animal or object) in a particular region of the surrounding physical space. The ASIC combines analog front end with digital dedicated back-end that acquires and pre-process the signal, and an artificial intelligence algorithm that accurately classifies the events.

AI3: Context Awareness: The Next Step for Sensor Fusion
Context awareness will revolutionize the way that our devices interact with the world. As digital assistants become more widely used for consumer and industrial applications these will require more advanced sensor-based systems to proactively react to a person’s needs. The ability of devices to use multiple sensor inputs to improve user interaction and enable new functions will become increasingly important when devices are interconnected and the way that consumers interact with these devices changes.

AI4: Machine Learning for Low Power Always-On Voice Control for Battery-Operated Devices
This session presents a new level of energy efficiency for always-on keyword detect command recognition. MEMS sensors are at the forefront of mobile and edge computing devices providing machine intelligence for always-on always listening applications. Traditional Voice Activity detection in an always-on system is always listening to speech activity in standby mode and therefore only provides sub-optimal performance in power consumption for battery operated products.

AI5: AI at the Endpoint Device
The need for intelligent IoT devices requires sensor data collection, analysis, and AI to determine actionable steps. Most applications today send sensor data to the cloud for processing and abstraction. This stresses the system’s bandwidth and power supply, adds latency and reduces security. Implementing AI at the endpoint devices solves these system challenges. A complete AI Endpoint solution should consider data analytics, model building, and hardware implementation to deliver a low power, scalable solution. This session teaches attendees how to build intelligent endpoints quickly and easily from start to finish, optimized for low power at multiple levels and with significant time to market gains.
