IOT2: Using Battery-Free Wireless Sensors to Enable IoT
This session explores a new sensor technology that untethers the sensing function from power and processing functions. These wireless sensors operate using energy harvesting for power from a shared data processing and communications hub. This sensor architecture complements existing electronic sensors and enables the deployment in sensors in applications where it is not feasible to deploy a traditional electronic sensor network. Attendees leave knowing the basic operation of these sensors and understating of the components that comprise this sensor network, and also some applications where these sensors are being used.
