Machine Learning models can help you with anomaly detection and AI can identify manufacturing defects based on AOI camera images.  However, what are the algorithms actually doing?  This session gives an overview of machine learning and AI. It covers the basics of various types of algorithms and how breakthroughs in computer vision and speech have been possible with deep learning.  It examines why deep neural networks are so computationally expensive and how we can accelerate their processing on edge devices.  It wraps up with a demo of a day in the life of a data scientist, training a model for AOI image classification, containerizing it, and deploying it to an edge server.
