Industrial process control industries contain many applications where there are big challenges for designing control valve sensors in harsh environments like Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, and other Process Industries. This session discusses some of the issues confronted when designing sensors for these conditions and form factors that work around valves and their applications. Examples of such sensors include pressure, vibration, acoustic, and others. In addition to the harsh environments, there are other challenges associated with available power and hazardous area classifications. Case study examples are presented to show benefits of the technologies.
