In today’s (industrial) IoT world, the trend is to move the intelligence away from the cloud and closer to the source of the data. This intelligence will improve security and reliability, reduce latency and bandwidth usage and reduce maintenance cost. This is the edge computing. As edge devices usually rely on scarce energy resources, we believe that the advance of edge computing will be possible only if an offer of extremely-low power and high performances processing and sensing ICs exists or edge devices are able to harvest energy from the environment to increase their energy budget, eventually removing their need for batteries. In this session, attendees  learn how to boost the energy and increase the computing power of their devices to be ready for the edge computing revolution.
