Digitalization is driving exponential changes in all areas of our lives. No longer are we restricted to WiFi or cellular to communicate. Different IoT “things” connect to each other, and more and more with a multi-modal fashion. Of importance is to understand which communication protocol is best representative to meet the requirements of these “things” at the lowest cost, and best performance manner. This session takes you on a journey to discovering how Shell pioneered LoRa LPWAN in a refinery setting.
